About ECER13
The European Conference on Educational Robotics (ECER) is the venue of the official regional Botball tournament for all teams of the European region. Student teams pit their robots head-to-head in a fast paced, non-destructive regional tournament. Students as well as their teachers give talks about robots, their experience with Botball and can listen to interesting talks of researchers. This year it is also the venue of the Skills Austria of mobile robotics. There is also the possibility of attending the PRIA-Open tournament with the Botball kit of the previous year.
The first ECER was held on the TGM (Vienna Institute of Technology) in Vienna, Austria in 2012. There were over 100 students participating in the Botball tournament, and even much more were visiting for the keynote talks and the robotics showcases. Students as well as teachers were impressed by the magnificent views at the conference. We’re proud to announce that the ECER 2013 will be held in the same location again, except for the finals, which will be at the Technisches Museum Wien (Vienna Technical Museum).
